Hey RMRKables! As we reach the midpoint of 2023, we want to take a moment to reflect on our journey thus far. We’ve faced new challenges, marked important victories, and continued to explore the potential within the NFT landscape. In this Ecosystem Report for April, May, and June 2023, we’ll share our progress in technical developments and community growth. Let’s take a closer look at what we’ve been up to.

Technical Development

> 5 ERCs made it to final, placing them in the same level as ERC20 and ERC721.

> The latest version of the RMRK npm package is now 1.2.1., including improvements and latest versions of ERCs and EIPs.

> EVM template repo has been updated for both standard EVMs and zkSyncprojects.

> The RMRK website was redesigned to better reflect the present focus of the RMRK team and protocol. The new website features a cleaner user interface, improved navigation, and comprehensive documentation to name a few.

Singular

The RMRK development team published Singular Release Notes, detailing all the new features that have been rolled out on Singular. This is the first edition of what is expected to be a bi-weekly release. We recommend reading the article as it has useful information for creators and collectors.
A new development roadmap for Singular was released.
There were significant improvements to the user interface and experience on Singular, particularly GBM Auctions.
Our Artist Advocate, Magusz, was a Keynote speaker at NFT Tallinn (April 2023) and Non-Fungible Conference (June 2023).
We secured a partnership with CURATIO, a platform that supports artists in diverse ways. Singular sponsored minting fees to some of the artists of Curatio.
We held our First Open Art Call in partnership of JOYN, for the launch of Singular on Moonbeam. We had: 85 submissions, 10 artists who won a Spotlight, and 25 artists who won an NFT and a fast track for Singular Artist verification.
We onboarded new artists to Singular, sponsoring their minting fees and providing general support.

Content & Community

We launched a new RMRK newsletter focused solely keeping subscribers up to date on the progress the RMRK team is making with our various products. The first newsletter has already been sent. Subscribe here so you do not miss out on future email updates.
We published a new article about different use cases for Multi-Assets NFTs.

Conclusion

As we wrap up another quarter, we’d like to extend our thanks to the RMRK community. Your engagement with what we’re building is invaluable to us. Over the past few months, we’ve seen progress in several areas.

Notably, 5 ERCs have reached their final status, we’ve introduced new features on Singular, and we’ve been impressed by the artworks from the winners of our First Open Art Call. These milestones represent a sliver of the potential the RMRK ecosystem holds.

As we look ahead, know that we’re not slowing down. We’re already hard at work on more improvements, more partnerships, and more ways to empower artists and collectors in the NFT space. So stick around, because the best is yet to come.
