Kucoin delisting $RMRK

Dear Kucoin users, Kucoin announced that the RMRK token will be delisted from their exchange with a maximum withdrawal date of 10:00:00 on August 28, 2024. This was expected since the token currently traded at Kucoin is from an old contract that they would not agree to update. Meanwhile, the RMRK team has upgraded the token to replace the xcRMRK token, providing improved features and utilities for our users.

Swap Ratio

The swap ratio from old tokens to new ones is 1:1, so you will get the same number of tokens when you swap them. The old tokens are called xcRMRK, while the new ones are just RMRK.

What should you do?
You can withdraw your RMRK tokens immediately to your wallet. The withdrawal service will be closed at 10:00:00 on August 28, 2024 (UTC).

Which Wallets can I use?
We recommend Polkadot.js or Talisman to withdraw to the Statemine chain (now called Kusama Asset Hub).

To which chain should I withdraw?

Kucoin only allows withdrawal to Statemine (now called Kusama Asset Hub), so you need to withdraw to that chain first.

I have my tokens on Asset Hub, what now?

Once you have your tokens in your wallet at Kusama Asset Hub, bridge them to Moonriver via XCM first before migrating/swapping with our tool. To bridge from Asset Hub to Moonriver you need KSM. Ensure you have KSM on Asset Hub and not in the Kusama chain. You can check here how to teleport to Asset Hub.

Once you have KSM on Asset Hub, follow the steps below:

Step 1 – Navigate to https://apps.moonbeam.network/moonriver/xcm

Step 2 – Select RMRK

Step 3– Select From and To networks

Step 4 – Select how many tokens you want to bridge

Step 5 – Execute

NOTE: This video moves KSM to Moonriver. You will select RMRK instead.

Swapping old RMRK tokens to new ones

Once you have the tokens in your wallet on the Moonriver chain, go to the bridge.rmrk.app and swap them for the new ones. By swapping from Moonriver, the tokens will automatically migrate to Moonbeam. The RMRK team manually completes this process every week, so your new tokens may take some time to appear in your wallet, but rest assured that it will happen.

Can I bridge my new tokens to another chain?

Yes, with the same app that RMRK team created, you can bridge your new tokens to Ethereum, Base, Moonbeam, BSC and Polygon.
In that case, we recommend first transferring your tokens to an EVM-compatible wallet such as Metamask, Rainbow, or similar. The Talisman wallet also works. 

Go to https://bridge.rmrk.app/bridge for cross-chain transfers. Bridging takes only a few minutes.

- What tokens do I need for gas?

• To bridge from Asset Hub to Moonriver you need KSM. Ensure you have KSM on Asset Hub and not in the Kusama chain. You can check here how to teleport to Asset Hub.
• To migrate your token from Moonriver to Moonbeam, you need MOVR. A few cents will do. 
• To bridge between chains, you need gas on the origin chain.

- Can I send my RMRK tokens from Kucoin to Gate.io?

No. Doing this will result in loss of funds since they are not the same token. Kucoin has the old one, and Gate has the new one, only in Base.

- How can I send my new RMRK tokens to Gate.io?

Gate supports the RMRK token only in Base. So you need to bridge your tokens from Moonbeam to Base using our bridge tool. Once in base, you can deposit them into Gate.io.

I have swapped my tokens but haven’t gotten them yet. What should I do?

If you are using Metamask, you need to add Moonbeam chain to it to start with. Once that is done, confirm that you have added the new token contract to your wallet on the correspondent chain.
