RMRK Ecosystem Report — January 2023

Although January was as busy as the months before it, we do not have quite as many updates to share. Most of the work we did was of a plumbing kind (the kind you don’t notice until when the building is finished). That said, we made quality progress on the technical development front for both the the core protocol and Singular.

We published the EVM developer documentation which now enables developers to explore the advanced NFT capabilities of RMRK using EVM smart contracts.

On the Substrate side, we finalized and proposed a discussion on a Treasury funding request aimed at supporting the continued development of rmrk-substrate-pallets.

On Singular, updates were made to the search function on Collection view and User Spaces.

Technical Development

• Published EIP-6220: Composable NFTs utilizing Equippable Parts which is now in review as of 30 January.
• Proposed EIP-6381: Emotable Extension for Non-Fungible Tokens to be published as Draft
• We published the EVM developer documentation. Developers can now play with RMRK’s advanced NFT legos using EVM smart contracts.

Singular

• We deployed a new and faster search for the Collection view on the Explore page and for NFTs in User Spaces.
• We released new bug fixes

Community and BizDev

• We finalized and proposed discussion on a Treasury funding request to support continued development of rmrk-substrate-pallets.
• We held a January Ambassador call.
